Serpentine and Hesitations

This month’s pattern works on opposing bends, and straight lines.
Most people’s training program is full of circles, circles, circles. Going from a bend to a balanced line is not easy. Spend some time with this pattern to develop a good strong relaxed walk, good bend, and balanced straightness.

Progress to trot lines. It won’t hurt to add a transition here and there.
The lope lines in this pattern are short. To lengthen the line, ride the pattern from the length of the arena, rather than the width.
